Learning, Playing, and Growing in Korea
During my Chuseok break in Korea, I rediscovered my love for volleyball and found a wonderful new community to play with. The experience helped ease a bit of homesickness while reminding me how much joy comes from movement and connection. I also started Korean lessons and am slowly learning Hangul, working toward the day I can navigate daily life without relying on translations. Between sore muscles, laughter, and language practice, life in Korea is feeling a little more like reality. ❤️

Long time no blog…
3 weeks feels like 3 years! It is a roller coaster of stress, fun, and never knowing if I am doing this right.
But through the stress I am enjoying the challenge!
The Sands of Time
Time is really flying! Sometimes it it doesn’t feel real that in only 13 days I will be flying to South Korea. I am not freaking out about it but it does make me think about the paths I took to get here and how God has been with me all the way.
It’s Offical!
I am going to South Korea to teach for a year. I will be working in Daegu Suseong. It is one of the most prosperous and high-density areas of Daegu, the site of the city's most extensive hagwon (Korean term for a for-profit private educational institution. They are commonly likened to cram school) district, so it's called “Gangnam of Daegu". The population of this district consists of those who have careers such as doctors, professors, judges and other high valued careers in Korea.
